The problem with putting it on the bottom is that it will likely get in the way of the battery which sits in the bottom of that compartment. When the heater assembly is in place, how much distance is there from the edge of the motor to the bulkhead? Mine is very very tight and I have considered fitting the motor on the bottom of the metal box.

http://www.wizardofwales.com/wowkcb/en/Steve Hugheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10215211120814614800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1811701375312329726.post-56203366989898043652016-04-24T16:42:43.756+01:002016-04-24T16:42:43.756+01:00Thanks Dale

Thanks for your comment. The main reason...Hi Nigel

Thanks for your comment. The main reason for choosing GD was the option of the Euro chassis which is regarded as the best for handling and road comfort as well as allowing the car to be registered new as apposed to age related.

With regards to the brakes, I haven't really considered them as an issue and after being out; both on the track and the road, with Andy they perform brilliantly.

The other factor for me choosing GD is the ability to remove the whole body fairly easily in order to service the engine/chassis.

I hope this helps you understand my reasons, but all manufacturers have there pros & cons and you may have different priorities.

Gavin Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07585637593387588549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1811701375312329726.post-85287941125060651612015-09-29T21:29:31.778+01:002015-09-29T21:29:31.778+01:00Hi Gavin

Also about to embark...Hi Gavin
Also live in Berks.
Also about to embark on a build. But I'm yet to decide which one. I'm between GD and AK at the moment. You seemed to screen out AK fairly early. Was there a particular reason for that. And are you comfortable with the servoless brakes on the GD. Would you share your thinking.
Thanks
NigelNigelBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00064406663473865392noreply@blogger.com
